    The board is made up of 96 light and dark triangular spaces placed alternately and is divided into 6 big equilateral triangles with 16 small triangles each, named with capital lettera A through F on the edges of the board.

    There are two sides. Each side is made up of 24 pieces each, both of a different color, one light the other dark. Each side is composed of one Kingdom, one King, two Princesses, two Princes, two Wizards, two Monks,  eight Archers and six Squires. Each type of piece has it's own particular movement and each player can move only one piece per turn.

    The player using the dark colored side starts the match with the first move.  In order to capture an opponent's piece, the player must ocupy the space of the piece he wants to capture, by using attacking moves of any of his pieces.

    As Majesty is not a game of chance, but a game based on tactics and strategies. When a player's piece is a move away from the opponent's Kingdom, this is known as Invasion. The player must warn his opponent that his Kingdom is in danger. The player who manages to leave the opponent's kingdom without a safe spot to move in order to retreat from danger, also known as Total Invasion, wins the game.
